The submission deadline of the 1st Distinguished Research Making Family Medicine Shine Award has been extended. The aim of this award is to recognize the distinguished research conducted by WONCA colleagues which has been published in high-impact journals in the field of medicine or health sciences and to honor and award them at WONCA 2018 Seoul.

WONCA CEO Garth Manning outlines arrangements for all WONCA Meetings associated with (mostly preceding) the coming World conference in Seoul,South Korea. These include meetings of Working Parties and Special Interest Groups, Young Doctors and the WOCNA World Council. Venues are confirmed and vary so please take a close look.

There are multiple events before a WONCA World conference - WONCA Executive, WONCA Regional Councils, WONCA World Council, WONCA Working Party meetings, Special Interest Groups meetings, Young Doctors' preconference. The culmination is the WONCA World conference.

On the 26-27th January, 2018, the 5th Vasco da Gama Movement (VdGM) Forum took place in the beautiful city of Porto, Portugal. “Stronger Together: charting the course to navigate the future” was this forum’s topic. The program and all activities related to the forum, were designed to promote teamwork and also to be a showcase for new, alternative ways to structure and to organize a conference.

The WONCA World conference is coming to Seoul, Korea from October 17-21, 2018. Registrations are open, some keynote speakers are announced, and abstracts are still open for oral and poster presentations.
